Mahabaleshwar along with Panchgani makes the most popular hill resorts in the Maharashtra state of India. It's located around Lake Venna. Mahabaleshwar derives its name from the presiding deity ''Mahabali'' whose shrine at the old Mahabaleshwar Temple. The mist covered hills, charming waterfalls and placid lakes attracts visitors throughout the year.

Welcome to Mumbai, on arrival at the Mumbai airport or Mumbai railway station, begin your tour of 'Mystical Mahabaleshwar'. Proceed on a picturesque drive to Mahabaleshwar. On arrival, check into your hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure.

Today, proceed on a visit of the Venna Lake. The lake is surrounded by trees on all sides. You can enjoy a boat ride ( on direct payment basis ) over the lake. Then proceed to Lodwick Point. In 1819, the British included the hills in the territory of the Raja of Satara. Col. Lodwick (Late General Sir Peter Lodwick) stationed at Satara, in April 1824 with a contingent of soldiers and Indian guides climbed up the mountain face reaching what is now known as the Lodwick Point.
Later visit the Pratapgarh Fort. Architecturally the Fort is divided into parts as - the upper and lower forts. The top fort provides with awesome views of Konkan Coast and adjoining areas. This fort is adorned with huge statue of Shivaji which was inaugurated by the late Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru. Inside, the two main attractions that are common in populace are the Statue of Shivaji and Temple on the upper fort.
The rest of the evening is free to relax.
