CORBETT NATIONAL PARK, Nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, the Corbett National Park was set up in 1935 as India’s first National Park and the first sanctuary to come under Project Tiger. The park got its name after Jim Corbett, the renowned wild life enthusiast, naturalist and author of many books on the Kumaon region. Corbett supports a variety of vegetation making it the ideal habitat for the tiger and its prey. Apart from tigers one can find leopards, sloth bears, jackals, crocodiles, Indian python, cobra and numerous species of birds. An elephant ride through the forests is a great way to experience the wildlife. .

| Welcome to Delhi, the Grand capital city. On arrival at the Delhi airport or Delhi railway station, begin your tour of 'Majestic Corbett'. You will drive to Corbett, the wild tropical jungles On arrival, check into your hotel. Rest of the evening is at leisure on own. |
Today enjoy a Jeep Safari in the deep forests and vast grasslands (the park is open from 15th November to 15th June). In the afternoon, visit Corbett Museum, Garjia Devi Temple and the Watch Tower, a place in the deep forest where you can experience absolute peace while listening to the calls of wild animals and look at various animals from a distance. Later, visit Sunset Point.
Note :Corbett National Park remains open throughout the year for the visitors from Jhirna zone but the best time to visit Corbett is from 15th November to 15th June
The rest of the day is free to relax or explore the local markets. |
